2000 COMPUTERS DONATED

Since the start of the first lockdown in March 2020 we have been involved with other local Lions Clubs in providing computers on the recommendation of any teacher who decided that their students needed IT Support at home.

65 local schools are now being supported by the scheme, resulting in hundreds of families now being able to access home learning. Larger families are often supplied with more than one unit to relieve the stress of having to share.

Computers for reuse have been sourced from the general public via various promotional campaigns including the recent BBC 'Make a Difference' appeal. Likewise local authorities and businesses have come forward to offer their redundant computers – all of which are processed by the IT Team to cleanse them and to make them Windows 10 compliant. All units are finally PAT Tested before being released to eager families.

Any help in the form of additional laptops or financial support to pay for spare batteries, power supplies, hard drives etc would be gratefully received by the team Please call the Lions phone to arrange drop-off/pickup or use our PayPal Giving Fund which can be found at the link below if you would like to make a financial contribution to the scheme.

We are now also providing P.Cs to Ukrainian refugees in our area
